ICTX Development

     After a lot of discussion and developmental progression, I'm starting to question if this game is really going to be best as an MMORTS. The game might be even easier to create, and maybe even more fun to play if it were an MMO first or third person shooter. What do you guys think?

 

     And guys, this is only an IDEA. This is not final, this is not what's GOING to happen. I think we all need to calm down. If we all get upset and start taking shots at the project and saying how we're just going backwards, then it is you yourself who is kicking the legs out from under the table.

 Hmmm. MMO First and third, alternatingly selectable shooter? That can be continuasly updated?

I prefer the idea of making this a shooter rather than an RTS.

Renegade is a first and third person shooter. Pressing F in game will switch your view from first to third person. So it can work both ways.

'Only problem in renegade with that is the bullets dont go to your reticle in third person mode. but we can fix all that since our system most likely wont be using bullet paths and such, it will prolly use the stat to stat system most RPGs have, especially like tabula rasa.

This Engine is just awesome.

The Irrlicht Engine is an open source high performance realtime 3D engine written and usable in C++. It's completely cross-platform and hass all the state of the art features found in commercial 3D engines. Enhancements such as, renderers, exporters and editors are easily available and it's completely free to use.

I dont see any problem with acknowledgement. As long as we can make money from the product without needing to pay them for it.

I was thinking about it.. I prefer  RTS.. I mean we already have a storyline for 4 different campaigns and I do not understand how is FPS more fun than Strategy.. it is just the preference

We can make a shooter any time after this project is finished or meanwhile. I just dont see the point to make another shooter when we have this kind of cool material for a scifi strategy
